“Earth’s entire premise lies in doing the right thing – for our community, for the environment. Our build-out, design and set-up were done from reclaimed, recycled, local items. The majority of the food that we serve is either made in-house from scratch or sourced locally. We purchase produce from the farms in our immediate area, including Weavers Way’s farms. Mt. Airy has such an incredible community of farmers.
On a daily basis, we make our own flatbread pizza dough, fresh mozzarella and bread. Beer and soda are made on premise also. We even have two wines on draft, from local winery, Karamoor.
Even our cleaning products are local.
Restaurants can be so wasteful, but we knew ours didn’t need to be. We compost and recycle every item that can be. The trash that is picked up once a week typically consists of 4 household sized bins. That’s incredibly low considering we compost more than double that amount.”
