“Kensington Quarters is a restaurant, butcher shop, and educational facility that serves/sells local and sustainable food. Here, thoughtful approaches to sourcing, fabricating, cooking and serving sustainable ingredients align, making it one of the region’s best places to enjoy fresh-from-the-farm food.
Our butcher works closely with regional farmers, making trips out to the farms and staying involved throughout the entire process to ensure the animals are being raised as nature intended – free of chemicals, antibiotics, hormones and GMO feed. He also ensures that the animals are treated honorably and humanely in the slaughter process. At Kensington Quarters, we encourage conversations with customers so they may understand the process and learn about what is offered, guiding them towards a cut-to-order personalized selection and fostering conscious consumption.
Our chef uses local produce from purveyors such as Common Market, Zone 7 and Lancaster Farm Fresh. We used recycled wood in the construction of the building and for decor. We recycle everything we can as well as compost. Everything we serve and sell does not contain any GMOs which is something very important to us.
Please see our website to find out more about us and what we do.”
